House League and Select Program

Queensway Canadiens Hockey Association has been providing both recreational and competitive hockey for boys and girls since 1955
Through the dedication of volunteers and sponsors, we are able to provide a non-profit house league and select program that supports skill development, safety, fun and friendship.
Prior hockey experience is not a requirement for house league play at Queensway.

House League Registration

The Application form, along with your cheque, should be mailed to the address indicated on the form. If you are just joining our league, please attach a photocopy of your child’s Birth Certificate. This information is required before we can fully complete your child’s registration.
- You will receive a confirmation that your application has been received.

Game Information
House league games are played out of
Mimico Arena, 31 Drummond St.:
- The Tyke division games are on Sundays only. The first few Sundays for the Tyke division are practices only. Tyke games start beginning of November.
- The Novice, Atom, Peewee & Bantam games are on Sundays, starting mid October, ranging from 7:30 am to 2:10 pm, with an occasional Monday evening game at either 6:10 or 7:00 pm, instead of a Sunday game.
- A complete game schedule will be provided to all families at the beginning of the season and will also be available on our website.

Practice Information
Tyke Practices are, indoor, every second Saturday starting mid October from 8:00 to 9:00 am at Mimico Arena. A practice schedule will be provided.
- Novice, Atom, Peewee and Bantam divisions practice outdoors, on Saturdays starting mid December, at Prince of Wales rink, bottom of 3rd street off the Lakeshore. A practice schedule will be provided.

Refund Policy:
Requests for refunds must be in writing, addressed to the Registrar and received by the following dates:
- Before October 31, 2010 – Refund of fee paid less $60.00
- After October 31, 2010: NIL

Fees for our Select Teams are very reasonable. Try-outs are in October. Please contact our Select/Rep Director, Steve Zinanni for more information: 647-896-0280
Players chosen for a Select Team must attend their House League games, in addition to their Select Team games.
